Our core focus is affordable and mixed-income multifamily housing across the DC–Maryland–Baltimore corridor, with an emphasis on acquiring and rehabilitating distressed or foreclosed properties and repositioning them as stabilized, community-serving housing.
Our aspiration is to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #11: to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

H & H creates lasting community impact by combining real estate development with social responsibility. We hire local construction workers and small contractors, creating jobs and reinvesting in the neighborhoods we serve. Through partnerships with minority- and women-owned developers, architects and construction companies, we expand equity and opportunity within the industry.
We sponsor scholarships for five HBCU college students, nurturing the next generation of Black real estate and construction leaders, and coordinate community engagement with local advocacy programs so resident voices shape our developments. We also integrate supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental-health challenges or substance-use disorders, connecting them to critical services.
